    Bueno, si digo la verdad, con esta bicicleta no se ni por dónde empezar. Recuerdo que cuando vi unas fotos del proceso de construcción pensé: » Bah! con esa cola no me molan las bicis» y ahí se  quedó la cosa.

    Well, If I tell the truth, I don’t know how to start. I remember when I saw some building process pictures of this bicycle first time I tought «Bah! I don’t like bikes with that kind of tail» and that was all.

    Pasó el tiempo y volvió a aparecer por ahí la bicicleta ya terminada… y después de verla un par de veces me enamoré. Es un tipo de bicicleta que me gusta y no me gusta. Me gusta porque es larga y baja, no me gusta porque tiene esa cola, que por otra parte le da una personalidad acojonante.

    Time passed and she appears again finished… and  after seeing her a couple of times I fall in love. It is a kind of bicycle that I like and I don’t like. I like she is low and long. I don’t like that tail, that gives a fucking cool personality.

    La horquilla es otra cosa que es alucinante. Si la cola le da personalidad en la parte trasera, en la delantera esta la horquilla por ballesta en una nueva forma, invertida diría yo, en un angulo casi paralelo al suelo y en un manillar-horquilla artesanal en una sola pieza que alucinas.

    Fork is another thing that is amazing. If tail gives personality in the back, in the front part is the fork, a new crossbow fork, inverted I would say, in an angle almost parallel  to the ground and one piece handmade handlebar-fork that blow your mind.

    La linea que le da el manillar, con la ballesta por debajo me encanta. Las punteras largas y los tubos del cuadro pegados al suelo dejan la rueda trasera como si estuviera al aire, con la cola detrás…  joder, no se como decirlo, me mola aunque no me guste. Lo que no me gusta definitivamente es el sillín. Combinación de colores muy buena, muy a los 50 creo yo.

    Handlebar line with the crossbow underneath I love it. Long Rear dropouts and frame tubes close to the ground leave the rear wheel as if it were in the air, with the tail behind… fuck I don’t know how to say it is cool even if I don’t like it. Seat I don’t like definitely. Colour combination is  very good, like in the 50’s I think.

    Puff… para no gustarme, esta bicicleta me encanta. El foco delantero alumbrando el neumatico, es la leche.

    Puff… not to like me, this bicycle I love it. Front light lighting the tire, it’s great.

  • Andreas John’s bicycle.

    Hace tiempo que no me fijaba en una bicicleta como en esta ( y vendrán otras). Esta la descubrí por sus punteras traseras, me llamaron mucho la atención. El triangulo viene muy abajo dejando unas punteras larguísimas para dar paso a la rueda. Se descubren detalles en esta imagen que llevan a imaginar una bicicleta singular.

    Some time ago I did not notice in a bicycle like this one (other will come soon). I discover this one by its rear drop outs, they caught my attention. Rear triangle comes very low and that is for a very long drop outs and give wat to the wheel. Details are discovered in this picture, they bring  to imagine a singular bicycle.

    ¿Qué  será esa barra que sale del buje? ¿Qué será ese tornillo que se deja ver abajo en la puntera? (La respuesta es el soporte de la pata de cabra) Una bicicleta relativamente simple llena de detalles que la hacen muy interesante.

    What will be that pipe that leaves fron the hub? What will be that bolt down in the drop out? ( answer is a piece for the stand) A relative simply bicycle, full of details that make it very interesting.

    La respuesta a la primera pregunta es simple: El cambio. De la palanca sale la barra rígida que hace las veces de cambio. Para mi una buena idea. La respuesta a la segunda pregunta no la sé, y no encuentro mas información.

    La combinación de colores también es muy interesante sugiriendo un diseño clásico (no se si una modificación o una construcción). Lo malo es que de clásico lo único que puede tener es la forma del cuadro tipo limo, porque lo demás es bastante innovador, y si no por lo menos es creativo.

    The answer for the first question is simple: the shifter. Fron the shifter leaves a pipe to the hub making the gear system mecanism. Good idea for me. The answer for the second question I don’t know, and I can’t find information.

    Colour combination is very interesting too, sugesting a classic desing (I don’t know if it is a modification or a building). I think the classic part is a frame shape like a Limo frame, but the rest in general is quite innovative, and if it’s not at least is very creative.

    Otra parte a analizar es la horquilla. Los muelles hacia adelante hacen que sea un sistema simple, mas o menos clásico pero modificado haciéndolo «nuevo». Otro toque de distinción para esta bicicleta. No termina ahí la cosa ya que las punteras de la horquilla están retrasadas con una curva muy sutil que le da un toque elegante.

    Another part to analyze is the fork. The sprinsg forward make it a simple system, more or less classic, but modified making it «new». Another touch of distintion for this bike. The thing does not end here, front drop outs are delayed with a subtle curve that gives  an elegant touch.

  • Dester Hanson’s Klaux

    Esta es otra basman que he visto recientemente y es de las bonitas. Menos es mas y en ella es patente. Simple, bien combinada y resultona. No se mas acerca de esta bicicleta solo las dos imágenes. Eso es todo, si solo una cosa mas: Ganadora como mejor del show 2014- Capital Cruise Berlin.

    This is another basman I’ve seen recently and is one of the pretty ones. Less is more and in this bicycle is obvius. Simple, good combination and good result. I don’t know more about this bicicle just this two pictures. That is all, only one more thing: Best of Show Winner 2014/CapitalCruiseBerlin

  • Wing Cycle

    No se nada de esta bicicleta. La he visto colgada en una de las paginas que visito. La idea es de Lin Jian Ming a mi me recuerda a las bicicletas por tensegridad.

    I know nothing about this bicycle. I’ve seen posted in a page that I visit. It is a Lin Jian Ming idea and remenbers me a tensegrity bicycle.

    Es preciosa.

    It’s beautifull.

  • Torsten Meyer’s Basman

    Esta es una basman de las que a primera vista perece que es una mas del monton. Negra y roja, neumáticos de banda blanca… típico de la vieja escuela. Sin embargo si nos fijamos un poco en los detalles resulta que tiene unas cuantas cosas que la hacen diferente. La construcción o customización viene de la mano de Torsten Meyer un Alemán que pertenece al grupo The 346ers.

    This is a basman, that at the first sight seems one more. Black and red, white band tires… typical old school. However if we look at the details a little, it turns out that it has some things that make it different. The building or customization is dome by Torsten Meyer, a German guy  part of  The 346ers.

    Llantas de 130mm con cubiertas de 4′. Guardabarros al límite y esa quilla agujereada con boca de tiburón para rasgar el asfalto.

    130mm rims and 4′ tubes. Fenders to the limit and the holed keel with  a shark mouth to tear the asfalt.

    Velocímetro, un poco complicado para ver la velocidad en marcha… je je je. Un buje de 7 velocidades con un sistema de cambio por palanca suicida, invención de un amigo del propietario que se te va la olla. Otro de los inventos mas imaginativos que he visto últimamente.

    Speedometer, a little bit hard to see the velocity while ride… heh heh heh. A 7 speed internal hub with a  suicide lever shifter, a owner’s friend invention that blow your mind. Another of the most imaginative inventions that I’ve seen lately.

    En fin, el manillar le va que ni al pelo, la combinación de colores que siempre resulta atractiva y que la basman es una de las bicicletas con mas variaciones que he visto hacen de esta una de esas que sobresalen entre sus hermanas.

    The handlebar that is perfect for it, the colours combination that alwais is attractive and the basman is one of the bicycles with more variations that I’ve  seen make this one of those that stand out among his sisters.

  • Killmen’s Carlos Aranda

    Aquí otro ejemplo de curvas agresivas y bonitas. Con unos sistemas en el sillín y pedalier que me gustan mucho, se puede variar la talla con tornillos, eso a mas de uno le vendría de puta madre.

    Here another example of aggressive and beauty curves. With a seat and BB system that i like so much, you can change the size just with some bolts, that more that one would like to have it in their bikes.

    En palabras del propietario; el lo explica muy bien.

    In owner’s words, he explain so well.

    «La bici yo la llamo killmen, la hija puta tiene muchas puntas afiladas y ya me he llevado varios cortes chungos jajaja. Está fabricada por Robert Korkosz de Polonia (cuadro Zwara). Se la pedí por su agresiva línea y porque me encanta su baja altura. Es muy baja.[…]  Aun queda mucho trabajo, lleva parte del cuadro cerrado y en pintura quiero hacer algo bonito. »

    «I call the bike Killmen, the bitch has many sharp points and I have already taken several cuts hahaha. It is made by Robert Korkosz from Poland (Zwara frame) I asked him for his aggressive line and because I love his very low, it’s very low […] There’s still a lot of work to do, it has part of the frame closed and in painting I want to do something beautiful. «

  • Robertus Haver’s Basman

    Esta bicicleta me ha sorprendido. Al principio no reconocí el cuadro basman, esta bien disimulado, pero después me di cuenta que es una de las combinaciones mas imaginativas que he visto con este cuadro.

    This bicycle has suprised me. In the beginning I didn’t recognize the basman frame, is  very well disimulated, but later I realized that is one of the most imaginative combinations that I’ve ever seen with this frame.

    Me encanta la posición del sillin que hace que el cuadro «cambie de forma» haciendolo mas largo y bajo. La manenta de cambio ¿?¿?¿? buen trabajo, buena idea. Solo que yo intentaría llevar el cable pegado al tirante y disimularlo un poco mas.

    I love the saddle possition, it makes «change shape» of the frame, makes it more long and low. The shifter ¿?¿?¿? good woork, good idea. In my oppinion  will be better try to put the wire close to the seat stays to hide it a little.

    Una horquilla poco usual en este tipo de cuadro y esos semimanillares, en una posición baja rematando la linea de la bicicleta…  me encanta.

     An unusual fork in this type of frame and those semi-bars in a low possition finishing the line of the bike … I love it.

    Felicidades Robertus Haver tienes una bicicleta original y preciosa. Estas son algunas de las palabras que me comentó cuando he hablado con el acerca la bicicleta. (Espero haber traducido bien):

    » … Que pareciera larga y baja era mi intención cuando la construía. Normalmente los cuadros basman son grandes para personas altas. Aunque mido 1,90 m no me gustó la posición. Para mi la estética es antes que la funcionalidad. Sin embargo la bicicleta funciona perfectamente a pesar de los cambios. Lo único es que debo estar atento a la superficie cuando monto incluso con las bielas cortas…  Por  cierto el asiento fue fabricado por Peer Vet y la horquilla por Bertje de Bergen N-H.»

    Congratulations Robertus Haver you have an original and very nice bicycle.  Here some words from the owner about his bicycle: (I hope  translation to spanish will be right)

    «… The foreward-down look is indeed what i had in mind with the build. Normally basman frames are very high-up bicycles for big/ large people. And although i am 6.6ft, i did not like the position. For me it’s form before function.  But the bike functions perfect, despite the extensive changes. Only thing, i must stay very aware of my riding-surface. Even with these short crank-shaft i must look out.But the stand and roll of bike makes it worthy. By the way, the seat was made by Peer Vet, and the fork was hand-made by Bertje from Bergen N-H.»

    He visto esta nueva bicicleta de Rolap para niños. Me gusta ver cosas creativas, sencillas y bonitas. Esta bicicleta está bien proporcionada y el color me encanta.

    I’ve seen this new children bicycle fron Rolap. I like to see creative things, simple and pretty. This bicycle is well proportioned and I love the colour.

    Quizás cambiaría el freno delantero por otro tipo o simplemente trasero de contrapedal.

    El detalle de la luz trasera en el sillín me encanta. La línea del triángulo trasero es sublime.

    Maybe i will change front brake for another tupe or just coaster brake. Rear light next to the seat is lovelly. Back triangle line is sublime.

    No es mi tipo de manillar pero a esta bicicleta le queda muy bien.

    Handlebar is not my tipe but for this bicycle is perfect.

  • Avionics V1 electric bike

    Dudo que vuelva a poner una bicicleta eléctrica aquí, pero esta es la ostia y no he podido resistirme. Puro diseño, pura estética.

    I doubt that I put an electric bicycle again, but this is «la ostia» and I couldn’t resist. Pure design, pure aesthetics.

    El precio seguro que es increible y no me imagino subido en eso sin el pelo engominado y un gran cojin en el culo, porque el asiento de madera… con los kilómetros no se yo como irá.

    I’m sure the price  is incredible and I can’t imagine riding without the hair slicked and a big cushion in the ass, because the wooden seat … with the kilometers I don’t believe how it will go.

  • Hell Cat

    Esta es la nueva bicicleta de los de 5/7 workshop, estos tíos de San Petesburgo saben lo que hacen y ya lo han demostrado en otras ocasiones.

    Esta vez… se les ha ido la olla, será difícil superarlo.

    This the 5/7 workshop new bicycle, those guys from Saint Petesburg know what they do and they have already shown on other ocassions.

    This time… they blow their minds, it will be difficult to overcome it.

    Curvas y rectas en perfecta armonía.

    Curves and straight lines in perfect harmony.

    Solo un par de fallos (en mi opinión, por supuesto) : Just a pair of mistakes (in my opinion, of course):

    El tubo del sillín sobresale por debajo del triangulo que lo sostiene y sería mas bonito si estuviera al ras.

    Seat tube stands out below the triangle that holds it. I think will be nicer if  it were flush.

    Algún tipo de sistema para esconder los cables de freno y cambio como tubos de hierro de pequeño diametro o algo similar.

    Some kind of system to hide the break and gears cables like small diameter iron tubes or something similar.

    Criticar es fácil, pero también es fácil alabar un buen trabajo y este es excepcional.

    Criticisim is easy, but also is easy to praise a good job and this is exceptional.
