Cosas que tiene la vida. En estos \u00faltimos d\u00edas se andan recordando cosas y apareci\u00f3 por ah\u00ed una maravilla que ya podemos decir que es un cl\u00e1sico. Una bicicleta que creo que no dej\u00f3 indiferente a nadie y si ademas te cuentan la historia… pues aun se te hace un poco mas especial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thinsg that life has. In those last days we are remembering things and surprise a wonder appears and we can say it’s a classic. A bicycle that I think did not leave indiferent to anyone and if they also tell the history… it still makes you a more special.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

La Pala una bicicleta que desde la primera vez que la vi me cautiv\u00f3. Ese dise\u00f1o bajo y largo, joder siempre me han gustado, la direcci\u00f3n tendida hacia delante, aspecto inacabado, ruedas gordas… una asiento demoledor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Pala (The Shovel) a bicycle that captivated me since first time I saw it. That low and long desing, fuck I always liked it, stretched forward direction, unfinished look, fat tires… devastating seat.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A partir del cuadro de una Felt cruiser y despu\u00e9s de tan solo dos d\u00edas de trabajo sali\u00f3 esta belleza, con prisa por la flowerpower de Barcelona. Aquellos maravillosos a\u00f1os donde esto estaba casi empezando y sal\u00edan ideas brillantes, con ayuda de gente brillante, todo hay que contarlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a Felt Cruiser frame and after two working days born that beauty, with hurry for the Flowerpower in Barcelona. Those wonderfull years, in the begining and brilliant ideas come out, with brilliant people help, everything has to be told.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La horquilla mas simple no se puede hacer, ademas de salir de un pedal de un contenedor de basura. El falso deposito de un estante de estanter\u00eda y el asiento prestado de una obra cercana. Cuando hay poco tiempo hay que improvisar, y a veces esa improvisaci\u00f3n es genial. La parte trasera tiene parte de un Bicing y cuatro manillares, realmente incre\u00edble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A simplest fork can’t be made, also leaving from a dumpster foot pedal. False tank from a part of a shelf, and borrowed seat from a nearby construction site. When there is no much time you have to improvise, and sometimes improvisation is great.<\/em> Rear fork has part of Bicing (bicycle from public bicycle service in Barcelona) and four handlebars, incredible.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algo hay que criticar, y en este caso es la potencia. Seguramente la \u00fanica que tendr\u00edan a mano, pero bueno, desentona un poco con el resto de la bicicleta. Como siempre tengo que meter el dedo en la llaga, pero es lo que hay, soy as\u00ed. El resto de la bicicleta esta genial, y el segundo plato tensando la cadena, en naranja-rojo, es alucinante. Un detalle que no pasa desapercibido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something must be criticized, in this case will be the stem. For sure the only one in the construction site to use, but is a little bit desacording with the rest of the bicycle. I alwais have to put my finger on the sore, but is my way to be. The rest of the bicycle is great, second chaing ring, tensioning the chain, orange-red, is amazing, a very good detail.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toda una preciosidad, de formas simples, acabados rudos y con materiales que se tienen a mano. Hace mas o menos 10 a\u00f1os que apareci\u00f3 esta bicicleta que siempre me llam\u00f3 mucho la atenci\u00f3n y me trae recuerdos de otras de aquellos tiempos que posiblemente acabe colgando por aqu\u00ed no tardando mucho. Gracias Sepe<\/a> por darnos esta maravilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quite beautifull, simple shapes, rough finishes and material that are at hand. More or less 10 years ago this bicycle appears which always caught my attention and brings back memories from other bicycles that posibly I could post here soon.
